Bigger Cash Back Bonus: Blue Cash Preferred & Blue Cash Everyday from Amex -
American Express (a NextAdvisor seller) just improved the cash back bonus for both the Blue Cash preferred from American Express and the Blue Cash Everyday from American Express. Starting today, if you sign up for the Blue Cash Preferred Card American Express, you get a huge bonus of $ 150 (refundable on return of form of credit) after spending $ 1,000 within the first 3 month. You can also enjoy 6% cash back at supermarkets (to a maximum of $ 6K per year, then 1%) 3% at gas stations and select department stores like JC Penney, Sears, Macy's and Nordstrom and 1% cash back on everything else. There is an annual fee of $ 75, but it could be useful if you spend enough on groceries, gas and department stores.
The Blue Cash Everyday from American Express (a NextAdvisor advertiser) also got a bigger bonus, with $ 100 after spending $ 1,000 within the first 3 months. You will also have 3% cash back at supermarkets (to a maximum of $ 6K per year, then 1%), 2% in the stations and the same select department stores like Blue Cash Preferred, and 1% cash back on all other purchases. There is no annual fee.
Both cards are ranked in the top 3 cash back examined on NextAdvisor.com cards. Either would be an excellent choice, and now the cash back bonus are the cherry on top of two already large cash back cards.
