Netflix reaches Exclusive offer with the Weinstein brothers -
Netflix has signed a multi-year agreement with The Weinstein Co. that gives exclusive rights to broadcast first-run movies from 2016. Netflix already has a deal with Weinstein Co. for documentaries and foreign films, and with the new Netflix distribution agreement, they also have access to Dimension films. The new films released these companies will hit Netflix after their 2016 releases, but what does this new agreement mean for Netflix?
Now that Netflix has the rights to all the brothers Weinstein films, you'll have access to some of the best films Weinstein Co. did as "The Artist" or King's Speech "and all the upcoming movies that have yet to be announced. the agreement adds to the growing selection of movies from Netflix and it gives a little more to compete with the likes of HBO Go and other top video streaming services.
