A: If you read our review for FreeCreditScore.com, then you already know that we do not necessarily recommend the site. And while FreeCreditScore.com is a real service and not a scam, certainly if you are looking for monitoring credit report or just a free credit score, we recommend you look elsewhere for a number of reasons.
First, the registration is not fully secure. At the signing of the credit report monitoring services top, or, trusted secure site where you enter personal information, your browser indicates that the site is secure written HTTPS instead of HTTP before the address bar display a lock icon and often a color change on the left side of the URL. When we sign for FreeCreditScore.com, we noticed that if she showed HTTPS, the lock was a small warning sign on top of it which reads:

Then the actual service they provide is not the best either. Although they provide an Experian credit report and score just after you sign up for the free 7 day trial, they do not provide you with reports and notes of two other offices, nor do they monitor your credit within these offices. This is a problem because different lenders report to different offices, so you can get information in a single office which will not be displayed in another.
This is why we recommend services like Identity Guard, which monitors all 3 offices, provides scores and reports from all three offices, and identity theft a full service protection over his credit report monitoring capabilities.
