For those of you with weight loss at the top of the list of New year's resolutions, diet meal delivery programs are a great way to start working towards your goal. These services offer healthy meals right to your door, taking the calorie count, measure and part-time working on dieting.
Although these diet meal delivery services usually have food drool worthy photos on their websites, we wondered if the food tastes as good as it looks on the web.
What you see is not always what you get, so we decided to taste the food of these services ourselves in our annual blind test taste delivery diet meal.
How we have classified these diet meal delivery programs
Twelve people participated in our diet taste test, notes the taste and appearance several breakfast, lunch and dinner for each service. They evaluated each meal on a scale of 1-10, and written comments as well. The tasters were told everything, with comments ranging from "great texture and nice spice" to all their rankings were counted and averaged for each category "weird consistency and unpleasant aftertaste." - Breakfast, lunch, dinner and general taste, which is an average of all the points for each service.
The taste test was done completely blind
We ordered meals outside of the pocket as a regular consumer and business would not know we ordered their food for a taste test. In addition, none of the tasters knew what program they tasted, without labeling to influence their opinions.
