Teenagers and adults differ on a number of things, and social media is no different. According to some recent studies by the Pew Research Center, a more teens use Facebook as adults. Teenagers are also big fans of Twitter, while adults are biggest fans of Pinterest, Instagram and Tumblr.
Not surprisingly, teens are more about social media than adults, although data indicate that teens are more interested in the more established social networks as new networks like Tumblr and Instagram. Interestingly, it seems that the adults in their 20s are more likely to be on social media that teens. This recent study also shows that teens are more likely to seek advice regarding their privacy online.
